Labour exploitation and forced labour are a reality – both globally and in Germany. As a destination country for labour migration, Germany has a special responsibility to strategically and sustainably prevent all forms of labour exploitation and forced labour, to combat these abuses effectively and to protect the victims. With the National Action Plan against Labour Exploitation and Forced Labour (NAP A/Z) of 12 February 2025, the Federal Government, under the leadership of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, is demonstrating its commitment to this responsibility and publishing a national strategy to prevent and combat labour exploitation and forced labour.
