State Secretary Böhning welcomes the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo

On 15 January 2019, State Secretary Björn Böhning welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo, Beqë Cufaj, to the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs for talks. Especially with a view to a possible EU membership of the Republic of Kosovo, the country’s development is very important to us, and I appreciate the exchange of ideas in the field of social and labour market policy, said State Secretary Björn Böhning.

The discussion focussed on the current challenges of employment and social policy in the respective countries. Concrete topics of the talks were the training systems, the current plans of the German Federal Government concerning the immigration of skilled workers and potential subjects of an employment and social policy dialogue between Germany's Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of the Republic of Kosovo.
