Minister of Labour and Social Security from the Republic of Zambia visits Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs

A high-level delegation from the Republic of Zambia, led by the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Ms Joyce Simukoko, visited the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs on 10 September 2018. Parliamentary State Secretary Anette Kramme welcomed the delegation. I am delighted about this exchange of experience with Zambia. It is our experience in Germany that quality jobs and social protection are the basis for a sustainable and socially balanced economic development, Parliamentary State Secretary Kramme emphasized in her words of welcome.

The delegation will spend some days in Germany for talks. The aim of this journey is an exchange on labour and social security law since the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of Zambia is planning reforms in this area. Following the welcome by the Parliamentary State Secretary, technical-level talks on social and employment policy in Germany were held.
