State Secretary Thorben Albrecht met with Member of the European Parliament Elisabeth Morin-Chartier of France for talks on 22 November 2017. The focus of the talks was the European Posted Workers Directive, which is currently being discussed in Brussels.
On 8 March 2016, the European Commission presented a proposal for a Directive amending the Posting of Workers Directive. On 23 October this year, the Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council configuration reached an agreement on its position (general approach).
