Start of the second round of negotiations for a Posting Agreement

At the beginning of the second round of negotiations on a German-Vietnamese Posting Agreement to take place during the week of 4-8 July 2016, Parliamentary State Secretary Gabriele Lösekrug-Möller has met with Vietnamese Deputy Labour Minister Pham Minh Huan. In addition to the negotiations on a Posting Agreement, the meeting focussed on further bilateral cooperation between Germany and Viet Nam.

State Secretary Lösekrug-Möller emphasised the close, friendly relations between Germany and Viet Nam and welcomed the fact that Viet Nam is ready to conclude its first Posting Agreement with European country with Germany, saying this would make things easier for employees wanting to work in Viet Nam. Deputy Minister Huan expressed the desire to cooperate with the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in other fields, for example, by enhancing the exchange of ideas in the area of labour market policies and unemployment, adding that the aim of the Vietnamese government was to strengthen overall support for the most vulnerable members of society.
