Polish-German intergovernmental consultations in BMAS

At the 14th Polish-German intergovernmental consultations State Secretary Thorben Albrecht welcomed Secretary of State in the Polish Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy Stanislaw Szwed.

At the 14th Polish-German intergovernmental consultations State Secretary Thorben Albrecht welcomed Secretary of State in the Polish Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy Stanislaw Szwed to the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs for bilateral talks on 22 June.

State Secretary Albrecht and Secretary of State Szwed had an extensive exchange of views on national and European reforms in the field of labour relations. In particular, Secretary of State Szwed reported on plans of the Polish government to increase the national minimum wage and comprehensively reform the national individual and collective labour law. He said that there was great interest in German law and practice, especially in the field of collective labour law. State Secretary Albrecht offered the Polish side extensive information and reported on the forthcoming decision of the Minimum Wage Commission on the level of the minimum wage in Germany and on the legislative procedure for temporary work and work and services contracts.

Regarding European projects, the discussions focussed on the cross-border posting of workers. The State Secretaries agreed to remain in close contact.
