On May 18, State Secretary Thorben Albrecht welcomed Paula Lethomäki, State Secretary to the Prime Minister of Finland, to the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs for bilateral talks.

The focus was on the integration of refugees into the labour market. Both exchanged views on experiences and challenges - especially with respect to the large increase in the number of refugees in the past year.

The issue is also high on the political agenda in Finland, which has so far taken in around 31,000 refugees.
