Federal Labour Minister Andrea Nahles today attended the High-Level Policy Forum on Migration, a ministerial conference held by the OECD in Paris. On the second day of the conference, Minister Nahles assumed the role of Vice-Chair. The discussions focused on changes in migration, managing labour migration as well as on strategies for improving the integration of migrants and their children.

With demographic change posing a major challenge for Germany, the legal framework conditions governing skilled migration to the country have been actively shaped in recent years and new migration and integration policy instruments and measures have been developed.
