Area of responsibility of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs

The immediate area of responsibility of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs includes:

  • the Federal Labour Court
  • the Federal Social Court
  • the Federal Insurance Office, and
  • the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

The following is under the legal supervision of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs:

  • the Federal Employment Agency.

Furthermore, the area of responsibility of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs includes the following organisations which are subject to the legal supervision of the Federal Insurance Office:

  • the Federal "German old-age pensions insurance"

  • the "German old-age pensions insurance" " Knappschaft-Bahn-See"
  • the accident fund of the Federation, the other accident insurance providers under direct federal control, and
  • the farmers' old-age pension organisations under direct federal control.
