Skilled Labour

Parliamentary State Secretary Anette Kramme travelled to Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne at the request of the Minister at the beginning of February this year. The aim of her visit was to explore opportunities to enhance cooperation between Germany and Australia.

Employment Promotion

On 10 January, Federal Minister Hubertus Heil met with Ukraine's Ambassador Oleksii Makeiev and Special Representative of the Federal Government for the Labour Market Integration of Refugees Daniel Terzenbach.

Participation

State Secretary Dr Rolf Schmachtenberg welcomed Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Mijatović to the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs on 1 December. Their talks centred on access to social rights in Germany, particularly with regard to poverty prevention.
