Reports of the BMAS on the EGF

For the first time, the European Commission's annual meeting with EGF contact persons from the 27 Member States of the European Union took place in Germany.

On April 24, 2024, following approval from the European Commission and the Council of the European Union, the European Parliament approved the German application for support for dismissed employees of Vallourec Deutschland GmbH from the European Globalization Adjustment Fund for displaced workers (EGF).

The European Commission decided on February 29, 2024, to support 835 former employees of Vallourec Deutschland GmbH (VAD) with the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) to facilitate their reintegration into the workforce.

The European Parliament and the Council have approved a new regulation on the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers (EGF). In doing so, they are paving the way to help more redundant workers reintegrate into work.

On 9 June 2021, an information event on the new regulation on the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers (EGF) 2021-2027 took place at the invitation of the BMAS.

The German EGF application for 476 former employees of the GMH Guss Group was approved yesterday by the European Parliament after approval by the Council. This means that EGF funding can now be made available promptly for the individual support of those affected.
