Participation of persons with disabilities

Disability policy

'No person shall be disfavoured because of disability'. This anti-discrimination provision is contained in Article 3 of the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany.

Employment of people with severe disabilities

The special provisions for people with severe disabilities are designed to compensate for the difficulties faced by people who are disabled.

The Jobs Without Barriers initiative

The initiative aims to improve the opportunities for disabled and severely disabled people to be integrated into the jobs market and to secure people's employability and jobs for the longer term.

Personal budget

It allows recipients of benefits from rehabilitation funds to choose a personal budget in place of participation-oriented services or benefits in kind.

Supported employment

Supported employment consists of tailored support for disabled people who need special assistance.
